Two goals from Giovanni Simeone and a Che Adams strike handed Torino a comfortable away win and left Alberto Gilardino demanding answers from his Parma side.

Parma's evening was effectively over inside half an hour. Torino arrived at the Tardini on Monday and won 3-0, with Giovanni Simeone scoring twice around a Che Adams goal, in a performance Parma's own match report described as a night where the hosts never truly recovered from a dreadful start.

Over early

Simeone opened the scoring in just the 4th minute, and Adams doubled the lead in the 24th, finishing after a deflection inside the penalty area. Parma pressed for a way back — goalkeeper Perri saved attempts from Romero and Diego Carlos before the break — but Ignazio Abate's side carried a 2-0 cushion into half-time with barely a scare.

Parma's best spell came after the interval, and Toure went close to pulling one back. Instead, Simeone ended the contest in the 69th minute with a right-footed strike from 25 metres. The hosts thought they had a consolation when Frigan converted from Diallo's effort with around ten minutes left, but VAR ruled it out for offside.

Gilardino's frustration

Parma coach Alberto Gilardino did not hide afterwards, saying his team was "very poor in the first half-hour" and too slow to react to second balls. He credited a positive 20-25 minute spell after the break but conceded Parma did too little to deserve anything from the game. Captain Delprato struck a similar note, saying the early goals compromised the match and calling for an honest review of what went wrong.

What it means

For Torino, this was the kind of clean, efficient away performance that builds a season: ahead inside five minutes, clinical before half-time, and ruthless when Parma threatened a comeback. For Gilardino's Parma, the concern is the pattern — slow starts are the sort of habit that turns winnable home games into zero-point nights. The response comes quickly: Parma travel to Lazio on Saturday, 24 October for Matchday 8 of Serie A.
