Missed out on the first wave of LA28 tickets? The second chance is almost here. Drop 2, the next major public ticket sale for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, runs August 10–20, 2026, with tickets across all Olympic sports at a range of price points, subject to availability, according to LA28's official announcement.

The key dates

Registration for this round closed on July 22, per LA28, and fans who signed up will be notified of their purchase time slots on August 6–7 through the random-draw system. Before the general sale, a Visa presale runs July 29–31 for qualifying cardholders — meaning the first tickets of this round start moving next week.

Buyers can purchase up to 12 Olympic event tickets, plus 12 additional tickets for the soccer tournaments, while ceremony tickets are capped at four per person, per LA28.

Why demand is so high

The first drop in April showed just how much appetite there is for these Games: LA28 says nearly 4 million tickets were claimed, and Angelenos snapped up 95% of the sub-$100 tickets — a sign the organizing committee's pricing strategy for local fans is landing as intended. Inside The Games also reported on the second release, and NBC Los Angeles flagged the registration deadline for locals ahead of the window.

Drop 2 is aimed at fans who missed the first sale, didn't register in time, or haven't yet hit their ticket maximum. With the Games opening in Los Angeles in July 2028, this is one of the last broad-inventory sales before availability starts tightening sport by sport — and history from past Olympics says the cheapest seats go first.
