Missed out on LA28 tickets in April? The second chance arrives in about two weeks — and for some fans, this week.

After first-round windows in April moved more than four million tickets — what organizers called the most successful ticket launch in Olympic history — LA28's second ticket drop opens its purchase window August 10-20, per NBC Sports.

How Drop 2 works

Registration for the draw closed on July 22, and everyone from Drop 1 who never received a time slot was automatically rolled into this round, per NBC Los Angeles. Selected registrants will be notified by email on August 6-7, then assigned a 48-hour purchase slot somewhere in the August 10-20 window.

Qualifying Visa cardholders who opted in by the deadline get an early crack at inventory in a presale running July 29-31 — starting Wednesday.

The fine print

The limits are unchanged from round one: up to 12 Olympic session tickets per person, with a four-ticket cap on each ceremony that counts against the total, plus up to 12 additional tickets for the football (soccer) tournament, which runs on its own allowance. With 353 medal events on the program — the most in Olympic history — there is a lot of inventory to go around, but marquee sessions like ceremonies, swimming finals and track finals moved fastest in round one.

Why it matters

This is the last scheduled draw before the calendar flips, and the safety net is coming: LA28 says an official resale network launches in 2027, which should take some pressure off fans who miss again. But for anyone who wants seats at face value without gambling on resale supply, the August 6-7 notification emails are the ones to watch for.
