The Boston Bruins trailed the Anaheim Ducks 2-0 after one period on Friday night and won 4-2, scoring four of the game's last five goals to extend their winning streak to four games. Boston is 6-2-0.

Anaheim's late first-period burst

The Ducks had the better of the early chances, according to the Associated Press. They struck twice in the final minute of the first period: Tim Washe's long shot went through traffic, with Boston's Jeff Malott screening, and about 20 seconds later Beckett Sennecke scored his fifth of the season to finish a passing sequence involving Cutter Gauthier and Nikita Nesterenko. theScore's box score lists the goals at 19:22 and 19:43.

Brunet starts the comeback

Boston cut the lead early in the second period on the power play. Frederic Brunet, 23, scored his first NHL goal in his sixth NHL game, a shot from the blue line that beat Lukas Dostal, with James Hagens and Pavel Zacha assisting (AP, NESN). NESN described that goal as the one that gave a team that had been outplayed early a foothold.

A third period decided on the power play

Two of Boston's three third-period goals came with the man advantage. David Pastrnak tied it 2-2 on a give-and-go with Elias Lindholm. It was his 423rd career goal, which moved him past Brad Marchand into sole fourth place on Boston's all-time list, per AP. Lindholm then scored the go-ahead goal with 11:39 left, off a pass from Pavel Zacha, on another power play, with AP noting Anaheim had not marked him. Matthew Poitras added the insurance goal with 3:40 left, assisted by Hagens, who finished with two assists.

The Ducks failed to score on a four-minute power play, AP reported, and finished with 27 shots to Boston's 22.

In goal and on the injury list

Michael DiPietro made 25 saves for Boston in his second start of the season. Dostal stopped 18 shots for Anaheim. The Ducks played without captain Mikael Granlund, who missed the game with an upper-body injury; Gauthier moved to center for the first time in his NHL career.

What it means

For Boston, the night was a comeback built on special teams and a quiet second half from the Ducks' offense. For Anaheim, it was a third straight home loss in which it has allowed 13 goals in total, though Honda Center has sold out its first four home games of the season, the first time that has happened since 2007, per AP.

The Bruins visit the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday; the Ducks play at the New York Rangers on Monday.
