Bengals 35-13 Ravens: Burrow's four second-half touchdowns flip Baltimore
Cincinnati trailed 13-0 at the half, then scored on five straight second-half possessions to move to 4-2 and hand the Jackson-less Ravens a second straight division loss.
Cincinnati turned a first half it could barely get started into a 35-13 win at Baltimore on Sunday, scoring touchdowns on five straight possessions after trailing 13-0 at the break, according to the Associated Press and Pro Football Talk.
A half Baltimore controlled
The Ravens had every advantage before halftime. Pro Football Talk reports they held the ball for 22:20 to Cincinnati's 7:40 and converted 8 of 11 third downs. Joe Burrow was 6 of 12 for 43 yards and Tee Higgins had no catches. With Lamar Jackson missing his third straight game with an ankle injury, per the AP, Tyler Huntley threw for 215 first-half yards, 120 of them to Zay Flowers, who opened the scoring with a 48-yard catch-and-run. Tyler Loop added two field goals.
The second half
Cincinnati scored on its first drive after the break. Burrow found Mike Gesicki from 6 yards, then Higgins from 13 to give the Bengals a 14-13 lead. Samaje Perine's 1-yard run after a turnover on downs made it 21-13, and Burrow added touchdowns to Ja'Marr Chase (2 yards) and Drew Sample (16 yards, after Huntley was intercepted). Baltimore did not score again.
The numbers
Burrow finished 22 of 30 for 292 yards and four touchdowns, and Joe Flacco replaced him late. Higgins ended with six catches for 148 yards and a touchdown; Chase had five for 62 and a score. Baltimore went 9 of 16 on third downs overall but did not convert again after halftime until just over a minute remained, per PFT.
What it means
Cincinnati is 4-2 and hosts Tennessee next Sunday. Baltimore, 4-3, has now blown a double-digit second-half lead and lost two straight divisional games, and it visits Buffalo in Week 8. The injury list adds to the concern: Roquan Smith left early in the fourth quarter with a knee issue, and rookie guard Vega Ioane left in the first half with a knee injury, the AP reports. Cincinnati will be without safety Kyle Dugger (quadriceps) and tight end Erick All (knee), per PFT.
